About Us
No. Tenant GPs at our practices have full autonomy over their hours so you’re welcome to work as few or as many days or hours as you want. The main thing we expect in return is good communication. If you’re planning to take some time off, let the Practice Manager know as far in advance as possible.
Our practices are typically open Monday to Saturday. We are believers in work-life balance so don’t expect GPs to work weekends or public holidays. We’ve found that some GPs enjoy working the occasional Saturday, so we typically facilitate that with a rotation of GPs. If you particularly want to work Sundays or public holidays, this can be accommodated.
It depends on how many days you are planning on consulting. If you are only planning on working part time (1-3 days per week), you will likely be sharing a room with others, but you won’t be shuffled around to different rooms on different days. If you work 4-5 days per week, you will likely have a room exclusively to yourself.
You are free to practise medicine the way you please. However, as we are looking to create a world class healthcare experience, we recommend that GPs consider 15 minutes for standard appointments as this gives you enough time to genuinely listen to a patients’ needs without feeling rushed. Most GPs consulting in our practices see 4-5 patients per hour depending on their preferences for double booking.
This is very much dependent on your style of medicine, but GPs working within our practices who effectively utilise our nursing team for chronic disease management and clinical support, are typically able to achieve billings in the vicinity of $350 to 400 per hour.
